A retail project for a local business lost to fire.  The proposed building fills a critical gap in the commercial streetscape of West Mount Vernon.  A broad steel awning creates pedestrian shelter at a busy intersection.  The inset niche creates a transition space, emphasized with wood siding.  An outdoor sales area is enclosed with alternating wood and fabricated steel panels that open to the sidewalk.
